Are you sure this is only with win2k?  I'm seeing pass-through
authentications fail under load to a nt4 PDC.  The error returned is
access denied and it produces an error in the event log.

I'll port this to APPLIANCE_HEAD and see if it fixes the problem we have
been seeing.
