When the cvs code is updated, does one have to do anything special to activate/use the updated code - or do you just do a cvs update and then to the ./configure, make, make install

Also, I have been using the following for getting the cvs code:

cvs -d :pserver:cvs at pserver.samba.org:/cvsroot login

cvs -d :pserver:cvs at pserver.samba.org:/cvsroot co -r SAMBA_2_2 samba

then to update:
cvs update -d -P

Is this correct?

thanks,
jonathan

Update of /data/cvs/samba/source/rpc_server
In directory samba:/tmp/cvs-serv8771/source/rpc_server

Modified Files:
    srv_spoolss_nt.c
Log Message:
Changes from APPLIANCE_HEAD:
    source/rpc_server/srv_spoolss_nt.c
        - remove redundant srv_spoolss_sendnotify() calls from
          _spoolss_startdocprinter() and _spoolss_enddocprinter(), as its
          functionality is already covered in print_job_start() and
          print_job_end()

    source/printing/printing.c
        - force a print_queue_update() prior to print queue purge so that
          all jobs are purged.
