That's enough , with JF we seen that NT assumes that a client not
supporting unicode is a dos like client (when enumerating shares) and so
it will not accept longer than 12 chars shares from that servers.
(the packets actually contain the full name, but NT will read only the
first 12 and on subsequent calls it search for this 12chars shares,
failing.
