1. This is the wrong list.  You should have asked <samba at samba.org>.

2. I've been running Samba on AIX 4.3.1 for a long time now.  Contact
   me (off-list) if you want a very simple patch that allows you to run
   Samba under control of the System Resource Controller (so you
   `startsrc', `stopsrc' and `lssrc' with it).
