jeremy,

i know i'm guilty of the same crime sometimes: could everyone try and keep
the purpose of commits to one job.  the copyright changes should have gone
under a different commit, so that a diff could be made [between two
versions] and applied over-the-top, if we wanted to roll back but without
losing your changes.
