rsyncd.conf gid = domain users

Redhat 7.5 upgraded rsync to 3.1.2 and it broke my rsyncd.conf configuration.I'm aware that starting with version 3.1.0 the gid option gained the feature of specifying multiple groups, probably comma-separated. 

Is there a way I can specify a different separator?  If not, I can use numeric values instead, but just wondering.And yes, I tried single quotes, double quotes, backslash escape ....
