rsync and encryption

In case the original poster needs a little more information on setting up rsync with ssh, a search on

rsync ssh-keygen

will turn up a number of examples/tutorials.

I don't recall which one I originally followed, but after setting it up, I saw that it was easier and had less maintenance overhead than configuring an rsync daemon.
