Device not configured (explanation)

I am involved with the development of LBackup <http://www.lbackup.org>

Recently there was a post to the lbackup-dicussion mailing list.

Within the post they reported the following error:

I am curious to know if anyone else has seen this error on Mac OS X. In addition, is any one able to shed some light on what conditions may cause this error to occur?

Any assistance, pointers, advice would be much appreciated. Should you need more information then please let me know what would be helpful.
