Hi All;

I keep getting "Bad file descriptor (9), error in file IO (code 11) at
receiver.c(720) [receiver=3.0.5]" from the following:

ravmud at bubu:~/bin$ rsync -vvv \
      --modify-window=1 \
      --progress --stats --compress \
      --recursive --times --perms --links --delete \
      --exclude "*bak" --exclude "*~" \
      --password-file=/home/ravmud/bin/pr \
      ravmud at 192.168.1.98::Backups /mnt/Backups
... lots of interesting information appeared here ...

Then I start the rsync again and get a little further along. I've gotten
about 6 GB copied so far with maybe 30-40 invocations of rsync copying
several hundred MB each time.
I'm sad that I haven't discerned the cause and corrected my problem
through this
list <http://www.nabble.com/Samba---rsync-f13158.html> or the standard
documentation <http://www.samba.org/rsync/documentation.html> and hope that
someone here can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I look forward to hearing from you,
