Rsync 3.0.7pre1 released

I get an error message when trying to decompress rsync-3.0.7pre1.tar.gz:

[ ~/Desktop ]$ tar -xzvf rsync-3.0.7pre1.tar.gz
tar: Unrecognized archive format: Inappropriate file type or format
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors.
