That is basically what I do when setting up a new client for remote backups.
I copy their data to an external drive of some sort, then to the destination
server. Then remote backups will keep things updated from there.

Hello,
I am building another backup server.
I want to copy the data to be able to have a perfect copy on both server.

If i tar the folder (that i want to sync) on my current computer and i move
it to the new one and untar it.
When i will sync it first, will he download again the data ? The amount of
