No joy here.

I tried:

"rsync --protocol=29 -vvvvn <user>@backup.dreamhost.com:"

And still got:

cmd=<NULL> machine=backup.dreamhost.com user=<user> path=
cmd[0]=ssh cmd[1]=-l cmd[2]=<user> cmd[3]=backup.dreamhost.com cmd[4]=rsync
cmd[5]=--server cmd[6]=--sender cmd[7]=-vvvvnde. cmd[8]=. cmd[9]=
opening connection using: ssh -l <user> backup.dreamhost.com rsync --server
--sender -vvvvnde. .
note: iconv_open("ISO-8859-1", "ISO-8859-1") succeeded.
<user>@backup.dreamhost.com's password:

insecure -e option not allowed.
This account is restricted by rssh.
Allowed commands: scp sftp rsync

If you believe this is in error, please contact your system administrator.

rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [receiver]
_exit_cleanup(code=12, file=io.c, line=635): entered
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(635)
[receiver=3.0.2]
_exit_cleanup(code=12, file=io.c, line=635): about to call exit(12)

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks again,

Kevin
