Whoops, my command line was actually:

CLIENT COMMAND LINE:

/usr/local/bin/rsync -aREHx --inplace --append --links --ignore-errors --delete
--delete-excluded --delete-during --exclude-from - --stats --progress
/data/d2/comictrax.net/./ m3i::d1/comictrax.net
