Error in rsync protocol datastream

Hi list.
I'm using rsync on a pool of machines every night over vpn-lines and most
of them are working great, save 2.
On these I get "Error in rsync protocol datastream on <hostname>" allmost
every night.
Both are, as far as I know, on stable lines and have the same setup as all
the others which is working, so....anyone has an idea what's causing this
error and how to prevent it?
