Hello Everyone

 

I need to restore 1 server to another and need a script

 

Heres what I would like to do is restore a server from #1 to #2

 

* Rsync the following files and folders to server2 from server1 exactly where they are on server1 so /etc/file.conf on server1 goes to /etc/file.conf on server2

 

* They need to keep the same permissions and owner/group as well

 

* I was thinking the easiest would prob be rsync via ssh, and the easiest would be to put these into a conf file and have the main move file in a file I can sh or something



I need a script that will be 2 parts, one the main script and the other a list of files/folders that i can add/remove from in case i need to add stuff in the future...
