Rsync doesn't interpret filename characters at all (as opposed to path
characters, such as '/'), so if you're copying from one double-byte
filesystem to another, it should just work.  If you're needing to
convert the characters between different encodings, there is a diff in
the "patches" dir named fname-convert.diff that you might like to try
out.
