@ERROR: auth failed on module user1_dir

Hi

I cant get the user auth to work. Do anyone have any suggestions. See
config below

---/etc/rsyncd.conf---

log file = /var/log/rsyncd.log
pid file = /var/run/rsyncd.pid
lock file = /var/run/rsync.lock

uid = rsync
gid = users

[user1_dir]
        path = /home/rsync
        comment =  user1 test bibliotek
        read only = false
        auth users = user1
        secrets file = /etc/rsyncd.secrets

[user2_dir]
        path = /home/rsync1
        comment =  user2 test bibliotek
        read only = false
        auth users = user2
        secrets file = /etc/rsyncd.secrets
-------end------------

---etc/rsyncd.secrets---

user1:u1
user2:u2
-------end------------

to connect from Cygwin do I Use:

$ rsync . websafe.jonem.net::user2_dir

and I get:

@ERROR: auth failed on module user2_dir

the rights for etc/rsyncd.secrets is att the moment set to:
-rwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           17 Jan  5 17:32 rsyncd.secrets*
since I cant get it to work


any ideas?
