Thanks!  I've checked in a change based on your suggestion.  I put the
--fsync option (w/o the -f shortcut) into the patches dir.  (Such
changes are part of the initial work for the 2.6.2 release.)

Speaking of 2.6.2, I'd like to see the next release have some nice new
features (without getting too bloated), so feel free to comment on which
features you'd like to see added.
