If you'd care to submit such a change, make sure it is relative to the
CVS version and is created using the unified diff format (or at the very
least the older context diff format).

I'd have to be convinced to include it in the main codebase (not for the
imminent 2.6.1 release, though), but it could at least be included in
the "patches" subdir.
