Thanks that was very helpful, but the problem is i can't run any compilers on these machines, thats why i used the binary, any idea if i can find a binary compiled with HAVE_OFFSET64_T option?

This has nothing to do with file size.
This is the sun mtime bug. A small adjustment and rebuild
should take care of it.
