--passord-file doesn't work

That's what I have written on the bottom of my previous mails
tamtam:/etc# rsync --password-file=/etc/rsyncd.secrets backupcvs at cvs::cvs/

All seems OK
tamtam:/etc# ls -ltr /etc/rsyncd.secrets
-rw------- 1 root root 23 May 7 18:12
/etc/rsyncd.secrets
tamtam:/etc# id
uid=0(root) gid=0(root) groups=0(root)
