I've personally had a very positive experience over the years with Aussie
Broadband. It's a service underpinned by NBN FTTN (VDSL2), and both the NBN
transport and Aussie's retail service over the top have been solid. They
have a reasonable app, and self-service options. When I've needed to
contact their (onshore) tech support by phone, they've been responsive.

I just got back from AusNOG (www.ausnog.net) where their MD gave an
interesting talk about their recent experiences building their own optical
