# sudo usermod -G cdrom

is different to

# sudo usermod -G cdrom

Do you know your actual user name?

ls /home   should show you the usernames on your computer, and if
your the only user, it may not be too hard to determine your user
name?

George.

Still K3B gives these errors:
* cdrecord has no permission to open the device; and
* modify device settings in K3b to solve this problem.

Worse, I tried the above with .
Now su gives "Authentication failure".
And sudo says that my username "is not in the sudoers file.  This
incident will be reported."!
