I used the following command. dmesg | grep -i tpm Which found a TPM chip in the laptop. During bootup, I pressed F1, so entering BIOS. Under the Security menu, I selected Security Chip, which I set to Disabled. Then I exited, saving changes. Now that dmesg check found no TPM chip. -- members.iinet.net.au/~kilgallin/
