I am migrating from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on a 32 bit PC, to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS 
on a 64-bit laptop.

For yonks I have maintained my Web site below, using Amaya. That was 
last updated five years ago. And I seem unable to install it on the 
laptop. Ubuntu Software keeps prompting me to install, despite my 
clicking on that button. And a launcher icon says "Waiting to install".

Being impecunious, I would rather free software.
