I recall teachers being ignorant of office technology.

I knew a senior teacher who fed soft plastic into a photocopier, fusing 
its drum! Later he asked how to make a reduced photocopy. To which I 
replied "Press Help.". And he moaned "Oh...!".

And the WA Education Department lost its computer infrastructure to a virus.
