Hrm,
$ sudo apt-get install xauth
Reading package lists... Done

Reading state information... Done
xauth is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Is there something else I'm missing? (this is on both host and client).

The man page says -Y == trusted connections. Apparently either should work.
