Seems pretty straight forward according to:
http://tldp.org/HOWTO/ZIP-Drive-4.html
[root at mail ~]# uname -a
Linux mail.dot.echo.id.au 2.6.32-504.8.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Jan 28 21:11:36 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
[root at mail ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 6.6 (Final)
[root at mail ~]# modinfo ppa
filename: /lib/modules/2.6.32-504.8.1.el6.x86_64/kernel/drivers/scsi/ppa.ko
license: GPL
srcversion: 65ADE3614FE37AC1041AEB2
depends: parport
vermagic: 2.6.32-504.8.1.el6.x86_64 SMP mod_unload modversions
[root at mail ~]#
Should be plug and play ;-)
