Weird. I thought I'd moved Ian's talk to this month. Let's do that now...
Ian will be giving a talk about GIMP.
The GIMP, as its affectionately known, is the GNU Image
Manipulation Program. It's a full-featured image editor
with abilities that rival commercial products.
In this talk, Ian will walk through some basic getting
started, manipulating existing images, freehand drawing
from scratch with a graphics tablet, scripting the GIMP
in python, and will talk a bit about the recent work
he's been doing with it translating a commercial video
game into French.
