That sounds familiar....

A few months ago, I noticed a similar problem with my transact/iinet
FTTH. For a while, there were intermittent routing problems - quite a
lot of pages wouldn't load, or had to be re-tried a number of times
before I could get the content. IIRC, it went on for a few weeks and
the problem eventually went away...

I never got around to investigating in detail though :-(

They keep on trying to tell me it's a DNS issue and to flush my DNS cache but my home network has every possible OS with different DNS servers and every now and then sites like imgur.com or twimg.com or possibly any site using akamai or akamai like technology just never routes.  Since internode, iinet and grapevine are all the same now it might affect them all.
