[clug] Career advice in Canberra market?

Andrew,
  FYI I'm not really looking for any Unix admin, my previous role was a Analyst programmer 
and Applications support, which covered both Linux/Windows/Mainframe environments.
Like you my position was made redundant too so I'm trying to figure out if I need to 
specialise or maintain a broad range of skills.

I hear you about the Security (chicken and egg situation) so I this might limit the number 
of jobs I can apply for in Govt. I did have a security clearance but it has lapsed many 
years ago.
