[clug] Netspeed Longreach?

Hi.

Given I've finally given up hope on the NBN being rolled out in Gordon
in the foreseeable future, I am now seeking internet options faster
than the 2.6 mbit I currently get on DSL. A friend pointed out
Netspeed Longreach, which claims 14mbit in Tuggeranong.

Has anyone actually used this service? The posts on whirlpool are
pretty negative, but I wonder if that's a fair data point.

(Also, I wonder if upgrading my modem would help? How do I tell if my
modem is the problem?)
