Perhaps - as you seem a little young to be suffering senility, maybe
you should start taking notes?
;)

Could you provide some more information please?

Which Debian release and architecture did you use?
(e.g. Testing (Jessie) i386, Stable (Wheezy) amd64, etc) If Testing or
Unstable please provide the version number.

What install options did you choose?

What make and model laptop?

Where did you try and install Debian to (which disk slice)?

What size is that partition?

If possible - press Alt+F4 at the point in the install where it fails
and note or take a picture of the error messages.

(Thanks)

I 'could' - unfortunately I'm busy over the next two days, after that
you'd have to either visit me (back of the airport) or download a
Knoppix CD and follow some simple email instructions so I can remote
in and attempt a deb bootstrap install.

I'd also suggest that you post your case to the debian-user lists:-
debian-user at lists.debian.org
with the answers to my earlier questions, and bearing in mind that
Jessie has just been frozen so many are quite busy so a response may
take a day or two.
