Hi,
I am puzzled. I have latest Ubuntu, a standard install.
dmesg reports:
[10677.639449] usb 1-3: Manufacturer: Generic
[10677.639454] usb 1-3: SerialNumber: 20071114173400000
[10677.645513] ums-realtek 1-3:1.0: USB Mass Storage device detected
[10677.657876] scsi8 : usb-storage 1-3:1.0
[10678.658846] scsi 8:0:0:0: Direct-Access Generic- Multi-Card 1.00 PQ: 0 ANSI: 0 CCS
[10678.665970] sd 8:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg3 type 0
[10684.830044] sd 8:0:0:0: [sdc] Attached SCSI removable disk
so there is a device /dev/sdc, true ?
sudo fdisk /dev/sdc
fdisk: unable to open /dev/sdc: No medium found
but why?
I wish to dd a file to the sd card
Adrian
