Sorry to correct you Paul, but I'll be talking about Bazaar, which is my MVC framework for PHP.  Not a CMS. ;) Although you could definitely build a CMS using Bazaar quite easily.

I'll mainly be talking about the more coolerer features of Hazaar that other frameworks for PHP don't have. Like services, delayed processing and real-time signalling. Although I will briefly go over the standard MVC stuff.

Disclaimer: Hazaar is very young so its not completely mature in places.

I thought I'd let everyone know how the PSIG went on Thursday night.
Unfortunately, Bob had one of his children develop a fever and had to take
them to a doctor, so couldn't open up N101 for us.  Luckily, the ANU CS
students club (or something) was having their OGM that night, so the room
was open.  I introduced myself as the cat herder for the CLUG and asked if
we could use the room, and welcomed anyone that was interested in coming and
hearing a talk about the development of a C library.  So we had four CLUG
people and another half dozen students, making it quite an interesting meeting.

I'd like to do more to reach out to the students at ANU, UC and other
places.  If anyone has any contacts there, please let them know of the
regular meetings and of the upcoming programme.

To that end, the next couple of months is looking reasonably good:

On the 22nd, Richard Lemon will be giving a talk at the monthly meeting
about the security mistakes that people can make when try to get things
working.  It's a good talk with lots of amusing and relevant anecdotes on
how security problems can occur and how they can be fixed.

Next month, the PSIG meeting on the 12th will feature Jamie Carl, talking
about his new web content management system, written in PHP (for a change :-) ).

Then on the 26th of September I'm hoping to convince Bob to give his talk
about creating a virtual, open-source, cycle-accurate CPU in an FPGA.
Better still, he's been able to use all open-source software to do it too.
It's a talk that several people have been pretty keen on, so I think it has
a lot of broader interest.

In October for the PSIG meeting on the 10th I'd like Alex to give his talk
on converting a web site to Django using Selenium to make sure it all works
the same as before.  This is an idea that I have personal interest in, but
it's also relevant to many people trying to update and maintain web sites.

If anyone is interested in giving a talk, please let me know.  It doesn't
have to be complicated or slick, and it doesn't even have to be about Linux
:-)  Open Source and programming topics of all stripes are welcome.
