Thank you for replying..
I'm using a Compaq Presario CQ40
I think I might try opening it up and blowing it out. When I tried to do it before I couldn't get to the fan. 
The keys are still working fine, I can open files still.
How do I do the memory test if the USB ports and CD drive aren't working?
