[clug] brightness settings wonky after Ubuntu 10.10 upgrade

I've the same laptop and experience the same problem but I'm running Ubuntu
11.04.  Sorry but I've not looked for a solution as I just run on maximum
brightness all the time.  Just letting you know that it isn't "just your
system" - its a wider problem.
