... have you tried "cacti"?  I'm currently graphing:
  - random USB temerature sensor
  - smart errors
  - amount of water being poured onto various of my gardens
  - UPS load
  - UPS charge
  - random other boring stuff like disk-space remaining

I was going to use it for my PV system - Tridge's stuff might be more 
suitable...
