For anyone not quite familiar with RMS, the wikipedia entry on him is

I do advise trying to understand the man if you plan to listen to him
speak. Several of his talks may be found via various online video
services.

There's no doubt he was once borderline genius. And he's still a
clever chap. He is also good at polarising people, and he's polarised
me enough to think that I'll avoid him because I have no desire to
spend my future years in gaol for assault.
