I thought the same thing at first, However I found Hobby Boards and ordered.

My two dual counter boards I ordered arrived 2 weeks ago.
So although Dallas/Maxim don't make the chips any more, there seems to 
be a supply available for making these boards.
Pretty reasonable cost too!
