Would it be that wikipedia has become a play thing for those who wish to control the power... 

I know, it has been thus effected from it's inception a few years back. 

The "not notable" attributions are very subjective and using them as a reason to remove information from wikipedia is quite frankly stupid. Removal for reasons of being apocryphal or inaccurate is one thing, but removal because some ignorant Americans have not heard of it is the height of idiocy. The whole point of Wikipedia is to learn of things unknown to you. 

I mean D'oh! What a bunch of morons. :)
