Because it annoys me, more so than I simply dislike it.
That's all.

No deep philosophy...
I get irked when people do many things in all sorts of situations.
This was one.

Driving - just don't get me started :-(

I've done 500-750,000km in the last 20-25 years without accident and I
think with only 2 (3?) speeding fines and 1 parking fine. One was a
fixed camera which I may have been able to challenge. Shortly after I
was pinged (111kph in what I thought was a 110 zone, but was 100) the
signage rules changed - now 3 warning signs, not the one I missed :-(

Point of that...
80-90% of people surveyed will say they are above-average drivers [which
is another topic all together, not for here & now]

I'd like to think I'm a 'good' driver, modulo some objective standard,
and provide some history...
Plus my mechanics think (yes, they said this to me) I must drive "like
an old woman".
For 160-200,000kms in cars I've owned, the front brakes & clutch are
original with the back brakes changed once.

If that answers your question, I'm happy.
If not, perhaps we can take it off-list.
