[clug] An alternative to the Kobo Reader - for geeks?

After a lengthy and fruitless search, I believe that I have struck gold; 
a bit more expensive than Kobo but vastly more versatile.

Since it is brand new, I am flagging it herewith and sitting back to hear 
professional comments.

For the record:

Although the supplied package does not include an eBook reader, it is 
able to access "Android Market" from which the FBReader can be downloaded 
and installed.
