[clug] Advice request - "tablet readers" for eBooks

I currently (successfully) use FBReader on my computer (Debian Lenny OS);
and am widening my horizons by exploring portable "tablet readers".

While the dedicated "tablet readers" appear to be very costly in
Australia, eBay offers 2 (Chinese?) products that sound impressive.

They are:

"Archos 5 Android 8GB WiFi GPS HD Internet Tablet" at:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Archos-5-Android-8GB-GPS-Touchscreen-HD-Internet-
Tablet-/270560860011?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_comp_laptop&hash=item3efeaf176b

and

"SmartQ V7 MID W1050 Internet Tablet 7 UMPC HDMI 1080P" at:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SmartQ-V7-MID-W1050-Internet-Tablet-7-UMPC-
HDMI-1080P-/250624581233?
cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_MP3_Players&hash=item3a5a639e71

I would welcome comments/advice from CLUGers who have used either of
these products (or comparable products that are sold in Australia).
