Well ARCH=avr32 atngw100_defconfig is much smaller than ARCH=x86 bigarse-debian-config ;-)

The allmodconfig should be fairly close, that takes me a good few minutes. Does make-kpkg set something like -j8?  Without the thread count cranked up you don't get nearly these numbers..
