Systems Administrators - Attorney General's Department (Canberra)

 

**** Must be Australian citizens ****

 

We require several Systems Administrators with experience in the following: 

 

.         Linux environment: Installing, Configuring, and Patching.

.         Building and Maintaining RedHat Servers.

.         Good Knowledge of Unix (Solaris) and associated tools.

.         Knowledge of Enterprise backup solutions and communications.

.         Thorough understanding of server hardware and peripherals,
including SAN and RAID arrays.

.         Experience working with Sun hardware including M5000 & M9000.

.         Must be able to function effectively and independently in a fast
paced and dynamic environment.

.         Skills:

 

.         Managing the trouble ticket queue,

.         Responding to proactive monitoring alerts,

.         Executing change controls,

.         Routine maintenance,

.         Performance monitoring and tuning, and

.         System diagnostics.

 

.         Systems administration experience 5 years.

.         Strong technical knowledge.

.         Good SOE knowledge.

.         Excellent communication skills
