At the Programmers SIG mention was made that some wish to monitor there 
power usage. I came across this this evening,

Don't know how open it is. In one blog entry there is a mention of 
writing django and python code. In another there's mention of 
eleminating the need for a PC at the clients house as it draws too much 
current and logging to a centralised server. For the looks of the live 
demo page it seems to export csv format which is at least more open than 
a lot of the alternatives.

Anyway, someone might care to dig around the site and see if it's worth 
looking at further for mains power monitoring projects.
