I just tried it on a 600MB and then a ~2GB text file and it was quite
responsive.

Took about 5 seconds to open the 600MB version and a bit longer for
the 2GB one but less than a minute. It may be dependent on your
machine though. I am on a Core i7 950, 6GB RAM, 30GB SSD HDD.
