That's pretty old proprietary stuff. The GNU lightbulb command has the
--type and --volts options that support a greater range of platforms:

 glightbulb --type edison_screw --volts 240 --current ac
 cat /dev/volts/ac/240 > /dev/mapper/bulb0

It also means you can do neat thingss like set up your home darkroom
with tricks like:

 cat /dev/null > /dev/mapper/bulb0
