FWIW, SQL is a "standard" language, of which Microsoft provide one
implementation in their SQL Server product. Anyway...

...the biggest /other/ thing I want is a tool that collects /my/ recipes, to
help me manage the stuff I want. 200,000 recipes is great and all, but their
quality is going to vary, and when I look for "chicken" I am likely to be a
bit overwhelmed...
Also, unless I can edit every recipe there to my own tastes and experience,
and no one else bothers to do so, it isn't going to be exactly what I want.
Effectively, part of what I want is my personal collection. The point isn't
really sharing them around, which works fine on sites like the above, but
managing them myself.
Oh, and owning the data: colour me paranoid, but I don't want to depend on a
third party to maintain my own recipe data, since I don't fancy paying extra
for it, and most of these sites won't let me pay for them to care anyhow...

...and a pony. Did I mention that I also want a pony? With Wings?
